Why variety is good

  1. Makes the students think about what the hell the teacher is doing. This is similar to the advantages of making a few mistakes (e.g. in calculations).

  2. Postpones burn-out.

  3. Variety improves the teacher-student bond by making each teaching experience more personal. Maybe this is too similar to point 1 to deserve a separate point.
