Dualism

Dualism: The idea that there are both physical and non-physical features of this world.

I personally struggle with the distinction between “physical” and “non-physical” features. Chalmers suggests that experience is different from any physical feature, but what is a “physical feature”? There are a lot of things that are associated with models of the objective physical world which seem highly abstract and almost non-physical (e.g. aspects of quantum theory). Is the line between the non-physical/ physical world so black and white? Could it be more of a continuum?

Property dualism: The idea that there is only one kind of substance, physical and mental, each of which has distinct properties.

Epiphenomenalism: The idea that physical events are causal with respect to mental events; mental events have no effects upon any physical events.
